Introduction

Street Fighter II Turbo took the cover this month, as Jason took a good look at the new game from Japan as well as asking some in-depth questions to the team at Capcom. Elsewhere Super Turrican got an exclusive preview and their Japanese correspondent Peter Evans was trying to find a house. They also had a first look at Mario All Stars, with screenshots of all four games.

Star review this month was Super Bomberman, which scored an excellent 92% - although the game was fairly poor in the graphics department, it was more than made up by the gameplay and replayability - going on to spawn five sequels. They also looked at some of the best multiplayer games on the SNES. The film based game of Alien 3 was the top UK review, with Jonathan giving it 84% and praising the graphics.

There were player guides for Pugsley’s Scavenger Hunt and the second part of Ranma 1/2. Jason answered more questions in his usual Game Freak section, and in Mode 7 they looked at a few games, including a guide for Exhaust Heat II. There was plenty of Envelope Art once again and in What Cart they had top 5 dinosaurs, Sound Effects and Backgrounds, certainly an odd mix!
