Introduction
The first issue of 2002 was dedicated to looking at what was forthcoming in the year. They had 8 pages looking at what was coming in each of the months of the year. They also took a deeper look into Resident Evil Biohazard and Smashing Drive.
The Gamecube also arrived in America this month, and the team reviewed Pikmin, Rogue Leader, Crazy Taxi and XG3, with all four scoring over 80%. Over in Planet Game Boy, ISS and Gradius both scored 5 stars.
Gamecube lab this month looked at the art of Gamecube modding, and how to convert a Japanese Gamecube into a US one. They also discussed whether Nintendo’s short game strategy was a good thing or not. Rogue Squadron got a tear down as they looked at the making of the game and they looked at some of the genres that time forgot, such as the destruct-em-up Blast Corps and Duck Hunt.
