Introduction

Issue 4 came when the Wii was tantalisingly close, and the team got a full hands on, and even reviewed two of the Wii’s first games, Red Steel and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz. Red Steel received a much debated 90%, and Monkey Ball 84%, which wasn’t far off the Gamecube original. They also looked at the innards of the Wii and had a much more in-depth feature on the operating system.

Reviewed elsewhere this issue were Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, Mario vs Donkey Kong 2 on DS and a bunch of other games ready for the Christmas season.

A shorter than usual (due to the Wii coverage) World of Nintendo looked at some Gamecube oddities, as well as some tips for Splinter Cell, Download looked at the MSX, as well as trying to setup a family tree of kind for the virtual console.
